If you watch a developer work, the unfolding result appears to follow a sequence of steps, very like a developing organism does, during epigenesis. Even if this particular sequence is completely new, the way it unfolded was dependent upon the steps and sequences available to the developer, either through experience or research. Since this is what we are doing, why don't we try actually working with sequences, and try to make them as good as we can? We can share them, borrow from them, learn from them, in a way that's quite natural.
Because that's the way life works.
